Nemzeti jelképek
The most important national symbols: the flag, the Holy Crown, the Anthem and the coat of arms of Hungary.
A legfontosabb nemzeti jelképek: a zászló, a Szent Korona, a Himnusz és Magyarország címere.
Parts of the coat of arms: the Holy Crown, a field divided seven times in red and silver, a double cross, and a triple hill with a crown.
A címer részei: Szent Korona, vörössel és ezüsttel hétszer vágott mező, kettős kereszt, hármas halom koronával.
Flag colours: red stands for strength, white for fidelity, green for hope.
A zászló színei: a piros az erőt, a fehér a hűséget, a zöld a reményt jelképezi.

The Anthem was written by Ferenc Kölcsey in 1823 and set to music by Ferenc Erkel.

The Szózat was written by Mihály Vörösmarty in 1836 and set to music by Béni Egressy.
